Graduate Landscape Architect (Planning)
Graduate Landscape Planner – 0-2 years experience
Salary £26,250 plus benefits
Landscape planners have an important role in tackling biodiversity and climate emergencies and if you enjoy getting stuck in and immersing yourself in a fast-paced and energetic industry, then you’ll fit right in and be in a great position to make a positive impact on the built and natural environments.
The tasks you’ll come across will be varied, to say the least… You will juggle a combination of juicy urban and rural projects you can sink your teeth into, offer assistance to our in-house ecology and arboriculture teams to broaden your knowledge and you will be adept at changing priorities, but there will be quieter moments to take stock. No day will be the same and we certainly offer variety.
Candidates will need to be thorough and methodical in their approach, with a proven analytical mind and the ability to research a subject and present their findings both clearly and concisely. This role will require you to provide technical support as well assisting with the growth of the business. Whilst your primary role is to support the senior team, you will be given your own responsibilities, and possible tasks you will be required to undertake could include:
- Site Visits.
- Assist with the production of Landscape and Visual Impact Appraisals and Assessments.
- Attend team meetings and workshops.
- Baseline research and analysis.
- Liaise with members of multi-disciplinary project teams.
Tyler Grange is committed to setting the standard and raising the bar across landscape planning. To be successful we are looking for a new member of our tribe who has:
- An interest in landscape planning and the planning system.
- Undergraduate academic qualifications in landscape architecture, geography, or a similar environmental discipline with a landscape architecture post-graduate diploma or Masters.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational and management skills
- An approach that complements our values and collaborative working.
- A commitment to the pursuit of excellence.
- A full UK driving licence so that you can join experienced colleagues on-site and immerse yourself into the projects from the start.
We would also love for you to meet with our clients and develop strong working relationships so that you can win some of your own work and develop your own client and site portfolio. We’d love to support you to become a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute and as such there are excellent professional and personal development and training opportunities available.
To apply please send us a CV and covering letter or video telling us about yourself and your skills.
